2. Data Transmission / Data Logging

When you visit our website, the web server automatically records log files that cannot be directly attributed to a specific person. This data includes, for example, the browser type and version, your operating system, the previously visited website (referrer URL), the IP address of the requesting computer, the date and time of the server request, and the file request of the client (file name and URL). This data is collected solely for the purpose of our statistical analysis and to ensure secure server operations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR / revFADP). To provide and deliver our website, we use Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and hosting service providers (e.g., Bunny.net), which technically process this data on our behalf. Data will not be disclosed to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

3. Functional Cookies

We use cookies to facilitate your use of our website. In doing so, we use both so-called "session cookies" (which are deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies. These technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in the error-free and secure provision of our services (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR / revFADP).
The following technically necessary, functional cookies are used:

  • rokkuware_lang: Stores your preferred system language for up to 60 days so that you experience the website in your desired language during repeat visits.
  • PHPSESSID: Technical session cookie for securing admin sessions and CSRF protection (deleted after the end of the session).

We do not use third-party advertising tracking or profiling cookies without your prior, explicit consent.

4. Information on Google Analytics

Provided you have given your explicit consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. Your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union, in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and in Switzerland prior to being transmitted to the USA. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future in our cookie settings. 5. Privacy Policy for the Use of YouTube

We embed videos from the YouTube platform on our website, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In doing so, we use the "enhanced data protection mode" provided by YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com). According to YouTube, data is only transmitted to YouTube servers and cookies are set once you actually play the video, rather than upon merely visiting our site. If you start the video and are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your browsing behavior directly to your personal profile. 6. Data Security

The personal data you provide to us is secured by taking all technical and organizational security measures to ensure that it is inaccessible to unauthorized third parties. 

7. Artificial Intelligence & Topic Generation

When you enter a search query, the search phrase is transmitted to the Google Gemini API for thematic validation and generation of the Primer. This processing takes place to provide the core functions of our platform and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in the user-friendly provision of relevant content. No personal user profiles or IP addresses are passed on to Google for advertising purposes.

8. Amazon Affiliate Links

Our Primers contain affiliate links to Amazon marketplaces. When you click on such a link, you are redirected directly to Amazon. Amazon uses its own cookies to track purchases made in accordance with the Amazon Privacy Notice.

9. Your Rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and the GDPR, you have the right to free information regarding your stored personal data, as well as the right to rectification, restriction of processing (blocking), or deletion of this data. Furthermore, you have the right to data portability. Insofar as the data processing is based on your consent (e.g., in the case of non-essential cookies), you may revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC).
